it blends the specular+diffuse result using via screen, then blends that result with the original texture/colour via multiply. produces a very viable ambient colour lighting.
Here's the final result using diffuse lighting, ambient cubemap lighting, and specular !!
@FurryRengS When I finish my "coloring'n'shading in one". I'm adding small details, like extra shade ( layer set on multiply.) and light (layer set on luminosity) ... and there ya go! my drawing is finished.
Really liking the sub-surface scattering effect I got. I keep feeling like I have to use more and more complicated techniques to make better art, but honestly sometimes just good ol' multiply and overlay layers look better.
Ngl, sometimes lately when I’m drawing I’m like “oh man this looks dull as heck”
It’s mostly from a fear of making the colours too bright and making my art eyebleeding, but I’m starting to incorporate brighter colours! Also I love not using multiply- it’s fun
@flutterdabutter Nope, the colors stayed how they were, I just used a bunch of shading techniques and layer filters. Most common ones I use are multiply, overlay, add, and dodge.
“Multiply the tiny things which I like doing
It will make the sky bluer and bluer
More than ever before
It will make me smile a little more”
This took me so long to finish ToT This was one of my fav games… I still love the characters all so much

Don't skip leg day, cause we've got our last villain for MILF Month!
Codename: Gym Glamour
Power: Endless Endurance
Signature Move: Multiplying the strength in her muscles
Weakness: She's short af
Padunk belongs to @iPadunk
just found out a vector layer on csp and it makes my life easier
also, i try to color the shade manually for each color without using the multiply layer, it more work but i say it look more natural~
but what do you guys think ? need an opinion~
@klansfw @catravannah I had someone else point that out too - I used overlay&multiply layers for lighting and I def should've shown an area that was just the flats to show the real pallet - here's the version with the overlay lowered down that I replaced the orig with on tumblr! (since i cant on twit)

Code name Flytrap
Type: Predator
"Flytrap is a prototype creature, from the gene laboratory of the criminally insane. As we experiment on flytrap, it soon became uncontrollable. We had to quarantine the lab, as it is growing and multiplying. “
A quick piece while I work on commissions! I rely on multiply and overlay a lot so I tried doing this without using them at all tbh
@_Rynnu On the top layer, I have the entire thing as a gradient with a multiply blend so I can simulate coloured ambient light, to get the bg I just have it as a normal gradient layer
@kinkybitch_19 @GentlePrxncess Altogether: "Awe! Thank you!"
They hug her. They really appreciate it.
"I wonder if I could do a illusion trick where I multiply myself!"
He never new that Mysterio is that great. He needs to read more comics about Spider-Man V.S. Mysterio more often.
Trying to evolve my art style by going mostly lineless trying out various features (clipping masks, multiply, and color dodge) in #Procreate! Thoughts? #Preview #WIP #Taryn #JumpstartDrifter
#digitalpainting of #ninja lineart I posted earlier. Tested' @Krita_Painting's colorize mask, applied shading over the flats with normal layer then with a multiply (65% opacity) layer brought all of the colors together. Rim light was on a layer set 2 screen.
