I thought of another comic that was greatly altered by the recoloring: Alan Moore & Don Simpson's "In Pictopia!" In the original version colored by Eric Vincent, Flexible Flynn is revamped into a darker & grittier version, but it's clear who he is because his colors are the same.

Something you might consider is showing two versions of the same story with different coloring. Say the original John Higgins version of The Killing Joke vs. the Brian Bolland recoloring, and/or Richmond Lewis' revised colors when Batman: Year One was reprinted in trade.

Started on Corviknight first because I like steel types and thought he'd be close enough to early-gen designs to redraw like that, but damn, they handled fluff way differently back then. Also recolored the dude here to look more like the Shabti he is. Enjoy my chicken scratch.

as a lead artist who made most of the b3 designs from week 1-3, if a character has a CLASSIC b3 design already (as in, a recolor from the original b3), stick as close to the color palette as possible. then, just make it look "cool" by adding shit to it

accessories and whatnot :)
