It's likely that flower in the OP is a "Hollyhock"（立葵, Tachiaoi).
-Blossoms June~August (dp 188 aired 08/19)
-The 2nd kanji is used in 葵色 (Aoiiro) - Same as Paul's hair according to irocore.
-Carries the symbolism for "Fruitful" and "Hope" in Japanese "Flower Language"
