Freeze Kirby’s outfit appears to be a reference to Popo’s parka. This connection can be made further, as in Super Smash Bros., Kirby’s outfit for copying the Ice Climbers looks identical to Freeze Kirby. Unfortunately, this ability/outfit was eventually replaced with Ice Kirby.
