During a conversation I was having about NES cover art we wondered what later games would've looked like had they kept the original black box style, so I made some mockups of just that, even trying to replicate the slightly-off pixel style
NES/FCファミコン Yukkos. Using NESFIER, I converted images to the NES format, with the real palette and resolution. You could put these on an actual NES console thanks to the program allowing to save them as .chr files.
Now if only I knew how to convert them to .nes format.

It belonged to that very specific style that dominated the '87 NES library with games like Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, The Battle Of Olympus, Faxanadu, Rygar and Rambo
