Interestingly, unlike normal male Mizutsune, Soulseer Mizutsune doesn't become more aggressive during the breeding season. Due to it being blind, it never seeks out a mate and doesn't groom itself to appeal to females. Like Mizutsune, all Soulseer encountered in-game are male.

BATMAN BLACK & WHITE: The last new issue I sent to the printer before leaving DC, and, fittingly, the revival of the first comic that put me on the path to editing 25 years ago. Nobody is more reverential to the original than I, and I think we did it justice.

Interestingly enough, I also was inspired by the star wars jango fett comics where hes mentored by a mandalorian named jaster mareel. Their relationship sorta mirrors makal and Capns.
