The Yu-Gi-Oh manga became a surprise favorite of mine when I was getting into the original US launch of Shonen Jump. Takahashi has a talent for horror-infused storytelling and coming up with some WILD situations and mind games. Gone way too soon, may he rest in peace.

Expression is really important in these delicate moments. The actors just missed it in my opinion. This scene for #Hybrids was worked over until it conveyed the right emotion. Comic book artist, take note of facial expressions in your sequential storytelling.
What a sad day, Kazuki Takahashi was a key figure who shaped many of our childhoods. His artwork and storytelling was unlike any other. I'm sure we remember the excitement of holding a Blue Eyes card for the first time, or seeing Yugi transform into Yami Yugi. RIP King of Games.

Finished Fate/Strange Fake Vol 1. It was distinctly interesting reading more of Narita's eccentric storytelling and well-managed but sprawling cast of characters in the context of a Fate storyline and the Nasuverse lore. The latter which the author uses satisfyingly plentifully.
