While I agree that Anakin probably does wish for Obi-Wan to be more like him emotionally I don't think it has anything to do with what Obi-Wan personally desires. The Jedi way is to control emotions before they control you. Anakin also knows this, but constantly struggles with it

The art I did of in Jedi robes keeps getting comments about how she should have worn them in the show. But Jedi robes would be a nightmare to animate (which is why Obi & Anakin wear gauntlets over their flappy sleeves) so how about a little change like this instead?
