Koopa Troopa's 3D appearance is actually pretty close to his 2D design, but the main difference comes in his head.

The snout is larger, eyes are slightly separated, there are no eyelids (unless used in an expression), and there is a visible head connecting to the cheeks.

The Beach Koopa variant started with pants, but I ultimately went with the undershirt.

I think I might prefer the pants version, honestly. But I feel like the shirt version would fit more.
