Robbin’ ‘Ood’s name is a (obvious) reference to that of the fabled thief Robin Hood.
Despite being green-cladded thieves, their actions differ to where Robin steals from the rich and gives to the poor as opposed to Robbin’ doing the same thing and gives to no one but himself.
