Looks cheesy by today’s standards, but Babylon 5 was one of the first shows to regularly use CG and at the time looked better than just about anything else. Also one of the first shows to have a continuing plot that evolved over multiple seasons.

These limitations can be hidden with a shift in art style. It doesn't matter that the faces don't change on tiny 2D sprites, because it asks you to use your imagination to fill in details. The detail is already on the 3D models, and it's just not impressive by today's standards.
