at the very least recently (in terms of faces) a big shift happened in the art team (new art manager or director or whatever she seems cool so far) and the usual kind of janky bandori faces (bc i agree that thats always been the weakest aspect of the art style) has been better

notice how his hairline is at the red line. when you look at him with his hat on, though, the hair goes up further. now, you can assume that it's not actually hair and might just be the outline of the hat, but it doesnt quite look like thats the case. not 100% anyway.
