Actually, MMX7 and X8 Stage Select world maps are basically the same image, but with different coloring. You can see that the clouds are identical, but in X8 they are no longer transparent so they look much thicker.

Looking back on Pixar's scrapped film Newt, at times I do wonder wether or not it would've been better than Rio which had an identical plot. I do really like Rio, but it's curious to think how Newt would've turned out.
