We call the prompts we enter into the AI spells, but I am still not very good at chanting spells.

Of course! Thumbnails are drawings that are used to plan out poses, composition, lighting, etc. They're called thumbnails since they're so small (the size of a thumbnail). They're used instead of full sketches because they're faster and you can't get lost in details
