The Chinese Crested Tern is a pelagic and coastal species of seabird. They are critically endangered, and estimates show a population of only about 30-50 breeding adults. Much of their decline is due to egg poaching and breeding site disturbance.

Cyanea superba, there were less than 20 plants known in 1991, and by the early 2000s they were all but extinct in the wild. However, conservation efforts have paid off and though this species is still federally endangered, it has come a log way.
