I'm rereading The Burning Maze again by and I just. . . Like, what if Caligula left Jason to suffer in his last moment instead of ending him for good. That scene was brutal.

And the actual Maze is all purples, as an in-between area! Yellow lighting is more prominent in the uncanny valley area of the strings being played in the Plexus, but for the most part, it's all purple sh & blue light to ground us, and red on the bits that are explicitly SAO.
