You can think of most pixelart with outlines as 1-bit art with added color :) Very easy to see in old ZX spectrum pixelart.

@theeunovastan Green actually. Blue is a scrapped female character that only appears in the comics and FR/LG. The only reason Gary is called blue in America is bc we didn't get green(game). But this is why his outline shadow thing is always green instead of blue, like his Red's is red.
