Yup, the characters don’t really develop much, the plot is everywhere, the new art style isn’t *bad* but it’s more soft and a bit childlike (like something that would air on Nick Jr) so I really miss the old one. Plus Aisha and Flora get whitewashed

Chibis are just elite because it's easy to "omit" detail in the image that would otherwise get washed out if it was more realistic/different. They usually always look great when they're shrunk down, so I bet it's just a safe bet to do :)
