Because this way, you get to test the waters for the franchise with a far more manageable show/storyline, promote Season 2 of the anime, it *doesn't* take over the main storyline, and fulfills another dream team-up for fans since it and SSSS.GRIDMAN have cross-promoted before.

Okay, YJ Phantoms being divided into various arcs is such an awesome idea. It's gonna make the show feel more fresh and works like anthology chapters that could connect to the main storyline.
