I think I’m pretty good with anatomy and gestual poses but I have the hardest time with composition and (clearly) backgrounds 😅

So the last step was to correct the face using GFPGAN, redraw the shoulder by hand and enlarge the image to improve the composition. And I finally got the final result. 😇

Then, using img2img, i recomposed the illustration. That fixed the poorly sketchy look. However, the face went wrong, the left shoulder didn't work for me, and the overall composition was not what I wanted:

What is one thing you think you’re good at, and one thing you wanna improve on?

I’ll start—I think I’m good at composition, but I wanna get better at anatomy and being comfortable with dynamic poses. I think that will help me such a long way!!!

This artwork was a huge study for me. Not only I pushed my technique far up by trying new brushes or effects on light and shadows, but also a lot of observation from real life and classic paintings.

oh this is a great take on the art share

for me it was this master study (right), original by Karla Ortiz (left). It helped me polish my composition and brushwork in card art with a more painterly feel
