I don't know a whole lot about Fleetway Sonic, but I like how Eggman's transforming into a more powerful thing ends with him at his Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog design. This implies that this is the strongest form of Robotnik! Peak Robotnik! Power and perfection incarnate!

OKAY SO. it takes place after sonic forces so the phantom ruby Blowing Up In His Face got rid of eggman's memories, so for the first arc he's "mister tinker" (he makes Belle during this time) before starline tracks him down and puts him through ACTUAL TORTURE
