1997: Diddy Kong Racing
One of my all time favorite games and the game that made me want to play Video Games all together. Only last year did I finally beat this game and it felt so good. It's challenging, fun, and one of the best racing games I've ever played.
1997: Revolutionary Girl Utena
I think enough has been said about this but it's good, please watch it.
1998: Resident Evil 2
1997: Mega Man X4
1996: NiGHTS Into Dreams
1995: Chrono Trigger
1997: my favorite game of all time (except maybe the remake trilogy? we’ll see once it wraps up), final fantasy vii. clearly i didn’t beat this at the ripe old age of one, but this was like, the first game i ever completed and comprehended in any way. it means a lot to me.
1997: The Curse of Monkey Island
The 90s are gonna be a real slog to get through, as my nostalgia & fondness for what made me want to write & make games gets me real indecisive
But happy to give this one to a hecking delight of a point & click adventure
1997: FF7
I want to cheat and say "this entire year." It is probably the best year for video games period. It was never surpassed. And 1998 kept the vibe going.
But I know my heart.
1997: Almost every significant release from this year is on my “shame” list, so my answer is Princess Mononoke, a wonderful movie that’s not even one of my favorite Ghibli movies.
It’s a staggering achievement, though. The huge, urgent thematics, the unreal visuals—an all-timer.
1998: Warau Kyuuketsuki
1997: [nada]
1996: Mars (mas menção honrosa óbvia pra Card Captor Sakura lol)
1995: Helter Skelter
1997: "NEON GENESIS EVANGELION: THE END OF EVANGELION" - 97 was a strong year, so many great movies. But gonna give this to my boy Anno
1998: the truman show
1997: end of evangelion
1996: supermarket woman
1995: toy story
1994: shawshank redemption
1993: philadelphia
1992: the muppet christmas carol
1991: star trek vi: the undiscovered country
1990: paris is burning
1989: back to the future part ii

July 14, 1997: Johnny Bravo, the second-ever Cartoon Cartoon hits the airwaves for the very first time 25 years ago!
June 5, 1997: Star Wars: The Phantom Menace: Digital painting of Watto by Doug Chiang. @halhickel: “Watto’s like an ugly little cherub. If you get your slide rules out, you’ll say that he’s too old, too short, and too fat — he could never fly.” #StarWarsArchives19992005
