probalby because of the protagonist and the so called "Getter-Go" Project.
but during the whole arc nobody call it Go-Sho-Gai, but 1-2-3.
In some adaptation getter 1 is the one piloted by Sho.

It wasn't the greatest adaptation animation quality wise, but it's servicable enough to keep me going this long, I love all the vibrant colors the anime got tho
