Fondation de la Ville de Québec par Samuel de Champlain, sous l'aile de Pierre Dugua de Mons, lieutenant général en Amérique du roi Henri IV. Situé à proximité d'un ancien village autochtone (Stadaconé), le site n'était plus visité que par des nomades algonquins.

In the Algonquin legend "How Glooscap Found the Summer," a deadly winter threatens the lives of the hero Glooscap's people. So he goes on a journey to capture the Summer Giantess, promising to release her once she defeats the Winter Giant.

You've already met her, but here's Selina Kono. She was Olcan's medical assistant and wife. She loved to write and illustrate stories during her downtime. She was also born from two cultures: Japanese and Algonquin.

Much of my inspiration comes from Rain Lake in Algonquin Park… this great tree once leaned over the lake near the ranger cabin my great-great grandfather built. It fell years ago but its sister trees still stand tall. 3x3 ft acrylic on canvas.
