(ft Media & his anomalocaris lol)
@eosauria i have an unnamed utahraptor and an anomalocaris called lucario, these are like over a year old now and i rly wanna draw em again
first intentional sona was seris, a dragon! nowadays i got a bit of a menagerie but the main ones are goose (goose+baboon+pterosaur) and undergrowth (anomalocaris+pikaia+smidge of mantis). i just drifted away from bein a Dragon Guy over the years. got more into weird beasts https://t.co/wVEcsuDEdQ
~500 million years ago: in a relative short time of 20 million years many organisms with hard outer shells evolve, some bizarre, like Anomalocaris, some today common fossils, like trilobites

stylized watercolour painting of an anomalocaris!!
Idk what colour they were so I gave it countershading and bright colouration bc i think it suits them and would probably work to their advantage

another attempt at a "literally just me" sona, anomalocaris doggie. I like this one so I'll see if they stick

OTHERTOBER DAY 2 - TERRITORY
none of my kintypes really have what you would call a "territory", in the end i landed on drawing an ocean at night time since it covers both my vriska and anomalocaris theriotypes!

Anomalocaris, gotta be one of my favorite genders<3<3 https://t.co/SaQ7us3bzP
Question to my #paleontology and #prehistoricplanet followers: If you saw this as a charm or pin, would the fact that it's egg-shaped bother you? Anomalocaris didn't come from eggs, but the shape works really well as a shaker charm, imo. Debating whether I should redo it.
Check it out! This is Innovatiocaris, a newly described genus of a radiodont from the Cambrian Chengjiang Lagerstätte in China. Radiodonts, like Anomalocaris, are incredibly rare making this fossil incredible.
