To all to who celebrate, happy Lunar New Year.

In light of what happened at Monterey Park, I also wish for everyone’s safety. Hate crimes against Asians has always been prevalent even if people try to stifle the conversation around it, and we need to push for better laws.

Some E. Asians would complain if a Black person is portrayed as a minority nobleman in an European-like kingdom even if the setting is fictional & not historical.

But the same E. Asians don't complain if Majority Characters in India or ME-inspired country are made Pale White.

it's another thing for it to be a non-asians persona/vtuber with a platform. it's already a huge issue in the world today

(the first photo is prissy's model, and the second is an example of a sexualized version of a wedding dress, vs a traditional chinese wedding dress.)

To Japanese creators :

Characters from a hot region can have darker characters like the pics below and not just tanned Caucasians like from the upper pics. Heck, even Black people were living in Europe as minorities.

There were also Black eunuchs in Ottoman Empire.

Alhaitham from Sumeru would be perfect if he has this guy's skin color and not paper pale white.

But Hoyoverse would rather whitewash tropical rainforest Indians and SE Asians then represent people who have brown or tanned skin like us, huh ?

I chose unicorn at first because I didn’t want to lose dexterity. I then chose the unicorn from Mistmane’s village since the culture seemed to be a proxy for Asians, which I am. So curved horned unicorn it was!

I eventually gave up on using midjourney to create images of Asians.Because midjourney seems to have a prejudice against Asians, the eyes are always hard to see.#midjourney
