The piece:
Itokawa's inspiration for the piece came from "Hyakki Yagyo" and since Aswang means Yokai, he imagined them to be walking scarily.
He wishes to draw in any style and winning will give him more confidence on his art since this will be his first time winning a contest
The piece:
Aota discovered the interest in Aswang Tribe and Japanese culture, leading them to combine the two with their style of background illustrations.
Aota sees winning the contest as an opportunity to have more exposure to their work and potentially help other people!
