Faruk Kutlu is a Turkish artist of Chechen origin. Many of his artworks are dedicated to residents of the North Caucasus, who were forced to leave their homeland for foreign lands in the 19th century.

A painting by Nikanor Chernetsov (1805-1879). He was one of the first painters to travel extensively in the Caucasus and along the Military Georgian Road to sketch views of the area.

Shervashidze-Chachba was head of the Abkhazian delegation at congresses of mountain peoples of the Caucasus: in August 1917 in Dagestan Andi and in September 1917 in Vladikavkaz (he stands in the centre in the famous photo of delegates to the congress).
