The only way you’re gonna get the relationship to work is if a host with a symbiote doesn’t get rid of the chestburster. Then that Xenomorph could share properties of both human and symbiote. Perhaps some limited stretching or shape shifting too.

There’s no explanation about each type of BT in DS. But as same as the Facehugger or Chestburster in Alien, we internally name them. Gazer who floats in the air, Hunter who drags you in to the tar ground and the giant creature is called Catcher.
