FF Fact: FFII was supposed to be the game that introduced us to Moogles, along with the Chocobos. But for some reason, they were replaced with beavers.

Bonus Fact: Mōguri, the transliteration of "moogle", is a portmanteau of the words mogura (土竜, mole) and kōmori (蝙蝠, bat).

I don't play Final Fantasy but I have a friend who posted pictures of Chocobos before. Looking back on it, Mika looks like a Chocobo if humanized and I find it so friggin adorable 😭

This was already gonna take a bit because I still can't figure out Yohah but I was like "yeah I can rough out a chocobo, I love chocobos!" because I forgot ff14 chocobos are dinosaurs. So I drew up a bird face and now I need to figure out how to have it not be that.

A small thing to remember my friend Neelia by; she helped bring happiness to so many friends with how much she loved them.

She was the "bird lady", and it showed in her love for Chocobos and her birds always screaming in the background during voice chat, haha.

Rest in peace 💕

Chocobos first appeared in Final Fantasy II (FC, 1988). It is rumored that these large flightless birds were inspired by the "horseclaws" featured in the popular manga (and later movie) Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.
