New 35mm scan really brings out the beauty of this animation in this Bob Clampett classic.

"Gruesome, isn't it?" is full of innuendo and much more verbal humor thanks to Bob Clampett; those old dubbed episodes were epic cheesy fun; I love how really got the character dynamics from the comic right.

Bob Clampett

The grandfather of comedy (along with Tex Avery) He basically created some of my favorite Looney Tunes shorts of all time and just the way he animates is a joy to watch. It never gets old

Tex Avery is right up there with Clampett. His timing, characters, and expressions in his cartoons are absolutely incredible

Imo LTC's throwback design of Bugs Bunny that's based on Tex Avery and Bob Clampett's models should be the new default version
It has a much more exaggerated, looser, feral edge compared to Chuck Jones' streamlined art from the 90s/2000s

Hands down my favorite Bugs so far

Bob Clampett.

The man's attention to detail, and amazing posing makes for some of the most expressive cartoons to ever come out from that era. Great Piggy Bank Robbery is still one of the best cartoons ever just for how creative and insanely expressive the animation is.

Drew a Bob Clampett styled pogona. I want to try out more styles for improving my art and whatnot. This first attempt ain't bad, but it could definitely be improved.

I highlighted a scene by animator Manny Gould the other day. It looks like Gould did this *entire* sequence with baby Bugs and Elmer in Bob Clampett's THE OLD GRAY HARE ('44). (The afternoon nap gag might be another animator, but it has similar drawing and timing to Gould.)

My biggest influences are Looney Tunes (mainly the works of Bob Clampett and Tex Avery) and Ren & Stimpy (and Spümcø in general, to a certain extent). Hope ya enjoy the dumb toonies I make if ya stick around!

Though personally, I’d like for them to use the Mike Fontanelli LT artwork more often on merch, they’re a nice mix of the Jones and Clampett vibes

"Bugs Bunny Gets the Boid" (1942) Is a great Bob Clampett cartoon. I love how dumb Beaky Buzzard is. This one has some of my favorite staples of Clampett cartoons: Bugs in drag and a death scene. Such funny drawings!
