For me, a "cleanup sketch" is basically me drawing over my messy sketch on another layer. I find it quicker and cleaner than trying to refine the initial sketch. Lineart/ink is when I make the drawover more clean or just do it all in vector. :3

This was my first actual animated cleanup test. Thanks to Nick for the lovely animation. I BELIEVE this was the final line brush I created for the project. You can also see the very early test of the "sketchy" xerox lines in practice. Toned down the paint a bit and added texture.
