Another spooky tale from , illustrated by , for Year 3 in Shibuya this week. I loved this story about Cherry getting stranded in a storm looking for cowrie shells in Cornwall. This story has a real surprise at the end!

The Mermaid of Zennor by John Reinhard Weguelin was inspired by a Medieval legend of a mermaid who lived at Pendour Cove, near Zennor, Cornwall.
Legend tells a man fell in love with the her, followed her beneath the waves, never to be seen again.
