I’m aware that Terry Gilliam has fallen out of favour these past few but I’m very happy to see that “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen” is getting a 4K release in the New Year. A personal favourite.
Although I wish Criterion offered optional covers (like most other labels do).

Hell, give Bambi a Criterion release too.
That one also screams artsy Disney cinema.
Ash’s (somehow MORE danger-prone) heiress friend, Madeline! She buys her Criterion collection films at FULL PRICE! And…..that other girl! She’s here too!
Picked up Ashes & Diamonds in the Criterion sale and right away thought the illustration style looked familiar. Sure enough, Danijel Žeželj, who drew the ill-fated second volume of Desolation Jones.
Hey Criterion fans, which edition with wanting special features would you recommend if I was only getting one more title during this sale and why? Thanks!

oh the posters for the criterion september releases are stunning i'm in love
I just discovered that this poster for Game Night (2018) is very clearly paying homage to the Criterion cover for The Game (1997). I imagine the pitch was "David Fincher's The Game, but as a slapstick comedy". Both are very entertaining mind-bendy movies. Jesse Plemons!!!
Last year the kaiju fandom was angry about the glue on their Criterion Godzilla blu-ray set were falling off and the glue got on the discs, during that same time I was feeling smug because I had it laying down and my discs were safe.
It's a given that if you do it, you can do it.
You can do it, but you can choose not to do it.
If I think it'll be fun, I'll do it.
If it looks boring, don't do it.
I think that's a good criterion for a human being to use.
If you're a non-dead person like me, you can do it all.
Queria que a Criterion fizesse os posters de todos os filmes do cinema.
