Tech Romancer was a mecha fighting game kinda like Cyberbots, but the mechas are more blatantly inspired by specific series/genres. Story modes self contained where characters sometimes have very different roles to fit the style.

Jin has one of the best character designs I've seen in a Mecha protagonist and barely anyone outside of the MVC fandom talks about him.

Guilty Gear XX's (pre-Slash) music has a sound so iconic that the only times you could ever hear it again were either GG2 or actual real heavy rock and metal albums. Easily top 1 fighting game OST for me, period.
