"Being a Dadaist means allowing oneself to be hurled by things, opposed to all stagnation...the gigantic hocus-pocus of Being fires the nerves of the true Dadaist...half Pantagruel, half St Francis, laughing and laughing..." ('Dada Almanach' Huelsenbeck 1920 trans. M Green 1993)

ICYMI - What exactly is Trash Art? by @aljaparis
"The entire debate between trash artists and their opponents more than reminds of how people responded to dadaists’ ready-mades in the previous century."

7). Saving the Animals by @SamMortimer4: One hell of an experience! This game's got kind of a dadaist style going for it that I really like. Save those animals. Please.

We might think that the Surrealists and Dadaists invented photomontage - but it was a hobby from the 1860s onwards, among English aristocrats of the Victorian era.

Does anyone know the current name of this artist? She was one of my favorite Vega artists and I used to talk (& collaborate) with back then on DeviantArt. Used to go by the name of Jibgab then DADAIST-Gabriel. Couldn't find her when I came back and would love to reconnect again!
You, a fool: Heathcliff makes no sense! It's so weird!
Me, sagely understanding that Heathcliff is a Dadaist comic about finding joy in existential meaninglessness:
I did this for an assignment in art class using Dadaist influences. Thought I'd share it here. Not one of my best, I'm honestly not so proud of it, but I decided to share it. Better than nothing!

Thanks to @PotLvckCo for giving me this opportunity to shitpost my favourite dadaist painting.
I just painted a screenshot of @briamgilbert and it came out looking like a 1920’s Dadaist painting. Suddenly the green symbolizes consumerism. His smile is a lie. He is trapped. His cat symbolizes god. God isn’t real and the cat is fake. This is from a video about making jorts.
