The first DK game I owned (albeit not the first I played)! Got it when it was brand new so we've been there for each other for like, most of our respective existences. I love its vibrant nature/science aesthetic and general weirdness.

I really don´t like the art direction of DKC3 in general, it, not just Kiddy Kong, all the enemy designs look worse than their DKC-DKC2 iterations, somehow having better 3D modeling tools make the characters less appealing.

This is actually untrue for Donkey Kong Country 3! If I recall correctly, in that game, Squitter can kill Krimps (the Klaptrap equivalents in DKC3) and other enemies by jumping on them.

I think it's one of the most interesting things about DKC3. But it also muddles the difficulty in the middle of the game.

I think what really puts DKC3 below DKC2 is just the quality of the levels themselves: too many slow gimmicks. DKC is better faster. FASTER!

One of my old drawings practically traced, I only changed the girl for Dixie Kong and the weapon for a MK 46 Mod 1 (due to its sonic resemblance to the DKC3 GBA weapon), I originally uploaded it to FA, but you can see it in a safe in my stash
