...does the entire Slime family count as one monster? 'Cause I love them all! But if that's not allowed, then my pick for favorite standalone monster has to be the Professaurus, because I'm a sucker for horrible puns and portmanteaus.

Favorite monster: Evil Emperor
Quite a hard pick: DQ is filled to the brim with all kinds of charismatic creatures: The cute, the tough, the weird, the majestic... To me, this guy reunites them all in my favorite animal.

Gotta be the Great Sabrecat. I am a huge cat person, and these kitties are just so adorable! It's amazing to ride one, as well. They run so fast! Definitely my favourite recurring monster design.
