With their final defenses in shambles, the city is all but helpless against Meredith as she starts devouring everything she sees. She helps herself to entire swathes of castles and houses, devouring thousands of humans at once with each mouthful.

The denizens of the advanced civilization conjure a magical barrier to protect the city in an attempt to protect themselves. It quickly proved to be futile as Meredith shatters it easily, helping herself to the helpless population within.

With a single finger through the heart of the city, she caused untold amounts of havoc and destruction as she gave a populated district a taste. Visible with excitement as her ears fluttered at the taste, the rest of the city was all but doomed.
Interesting history for Edith, but I just wanted to point out that there are some incredible layouts here from Sean Phillips. Using the smoke from Edith's pipe as the panel borders is great.
