Like Heracles, Orion had a hero cult in Greece, indicating he was popular. Despite this, no extant record of his adventures is known, only appearing in anecdotes and myth collections. He may have been a proto-Heracles hero, as he shares similar hunting motifs.

Prisma Illya’s author, Hiroshi Hiroyama, got his start drawing fan comics under the name KALMIA. He did several FSN books, one of which had Illya put her consciousness into Heracles. He later caught the eye of TM, who hired him to make his own series.

Heracles

Heracles is the most famous of the Greek chthonic heroes and unique in that he does not have a tomb traditionally associated with him. His hero cult was extremely popular and he was believed to embody all the ideals for a man, including having many lovers.

My favourite of Heracles’ labours, probably because of the Giant Crab sent by Hera just to complicate things, and it doesn’t count in the end because Heracles’ nephew Iolaus helps,cauterising the necks of beheaded Hydra to stop new heads growing.
