オス（と思われる）ザトウクジラの頭部、メスを巡っての争いで傷ついたのか頭部のコブが痛々しいです。
コブには感覚毛と呼ばれる体毛があり水流を感知しているといわれています。

ザトウクジラの背びれから尾にかけては細身のように見えますが、やっぱりでかいです。胴体はまん丸超巨大！
長さは14m~15m前後なので路線バス12mをひとまわりでかくしたイメージですね。
