A couple days ago was 8 years since I first made anything with Inkscape, which was on March 24, 2013.

I used pre-made exploitable templates of the "SMEEL" and "shrugpony" memes and did versions for canon ponies. This is those two, plus "nya" (paffendorf) and "hey you" as Topaz.

Had a play with sepia ink and Inkscape, but personally I am a fan of number 1. What do you think?
These are just made with a standard A4 page, so the disadvantage of anything too complex is it will have to be resized once I know the dimensions of the book template I'll be using.

Is there a function in Inkscape, that simply create intersection cutouts of everything, so we end up with each shapes of original artwork, instead of compound? I need it for Blender.

Another day, another oldie.
This time it's my first foray into shading. This boy was lined and coloured in Inkscape, and then shaded in Clip studio.
It was also a bit of an experiment with drawing realistic armour of the 14th century. Done in late December 2018.

So for the jay I went back to SAI, exported every single color layer as its own .png (glad I kept every color on its own layer in the first place! thanks past me!), path->trace bitmapped each one individually in inkscape, then assembled them. Definitely cleaner results.

Since my & are most active toons wanted header with them. Wasn't finished & thought would spoopify for Oct, but here they are finished normal. I like how they came out in Inkscape, usually can't stand my own work after few days.

Art things today: I played with gradients on chameleon number 2 in Inkscape, & played with different tools to try to create a watercolour-like effect on some of the edges. Still a long way to go but some bits worked well.
