This is the only released sketch of Amano’s depiction of Tifa that I’m aware of
I’m a big fan of fantasy clothing that feels wearable. It’s something that’s always drawn me in about Amano’s work.
The outfits are whimsical and extravagant but the weight, the draping, where they cinch and where they billow out always grounds his designs in plausibility.
@Somniatis_ @Th4tGamerChick I’m gonna go a little off here, but I really enjoy Yoshitaka Amano’s artwork for final fantasy. While it may not be directly in the game. The style is clearly recognizable and beautiful.
Happy #ff725th! can’t show this full piece yet. This was really inspired in Amano’s style.
cassius and brutus, with the composition very loosely based on giulio romano’s painting, the lovers (it’s gone by various names) because to conspire is a seduction and conspiracy is to share a bed.
so.
as you can see----
Saejima’s year this, shimano’s year that, what about Yasuko’s year?
My beloved Tiger Lily who definitely deserved better ♥️
Repost of my attempt at fan art in Amano’s style for @DAIHIME_SAMA’s FFV stream
Idk what it is, but the facial expressions in Amano’s art just feels really special to me.
Akira Amano’s art of #PsychoPass2 Ginoza 💖🤯❤️ #pp_anime #AkiraAmano #psychopass #サイコパス
Game tech has got to be at the point where we can play games that actually look like Yoshitaka Amano’s art, right?
Mad props to Nomura for drawing all of the Classic Final Fantasy protagonists for Dissidia while not changing Amano’s outfits at all
And now I KNOW I’m reaching, but Zodiark reminds me of Yoshitaka Amano’s Steiner artwork just a touch... it’s not evidence but I’m very sleepy and thought it was cool lol
