1997: Almost every significant release from this year is on my “shame” list, so my answer is Princess Mononoke, a wonderful movie that’s not even one of my favorite Ghibli movies.

It’s a staggering achievement, though. The huge, urgent thematics, the unreal visuals—an all-timer.

I love so many elements you put into your work. Idk if it's weird to drop an anime here but this all heavily reminds me of the show Mononoke. In the story there are interactions with spirits, some mononoke, born from the grief, grudges, and so on, of humans. If you like horror,👍
