On the 8th of August 1998, Martian Successor Nadesico: The Motion Picture – Prince of Darkness was released. It was the sequel to the Nadesico TV series & Blank of 3 years video game. It debuted in SRW R (GBA) in 2002.

Nadesico is such a neat show, its got so much mecha history in it's composition
Everything from Macross to Getter Robo can be felt as an influence, its great. It asks questions about the genre and especially about its audience, embodied within multiple characters in the story.
Currently obsessed with this show. Has pretty much everything I love in an anime; 90's aesthetics, silly and zany comedy, love and romance, pretty characters, and giant f***ing robots 🤣❤️
