once I have a rough outline of the character and eye level, I just need to find the details of the mecha!
If anything, speaking from experience, making a flat render in pixel art can be EVEN MORE TIME CONSUMING considering I have to check:
-no pixel is misaligned
-clean-up the outlines
-close up gaps
-make smooth curves
-do _manual_ antialiasing in cases.
- etc.
Pxl ain't fast.
I have obtained the power of Outline layer effect and now I feel powerful...

As I mentioned yesterday, the outline has some issues because I made a mistake while creating the file.

The only good Rio idea I had. Did sketch, outline, lineart early last year; made some mistakes, so did not work on her again until that Autumn. Returned to her beginning of this year and started coloring her. Did some more in March and fixed the text, then tabled her again...

Last year I did a cowkini poll that Iowa won. Made some digital edits and fixes to a sketch, then started most of an outline. Interest faded. There's a Yamato and Chiyoda in progress that I think will look better
