@Michelle4Laughs My main character is a pelican. 5 years ago, I drew Perky and wrote 4 lines about him. My surprise is that 5 years later, I turned him into a full-length picture book. I've tried that before, but it never worked. Thank goodness for challenges like #PBParty #PB @jackikellum

Another MAJOR favorite picture book of mine as a kid (for the #PBParty ) was THY FRIEND, OBADIAH by Brinton Turkle. The illustrations are simply breathtaking & the story still resonates. Goodness, I loved this book...I still do!
