Some Monarca units assigned to the Capitol Guard can be seen sporting winglike racks of linear blades. These 'wings' can be used to tactically resupply squadmates... or, more commonly, to replace blades broken by the reckless fighting styles of Monarca aces.

PROJECT MARGRAVE - THE BEAST

As its ghastly body unfurled, the Capitol Guard stood speechless. Arms upon arms; fingers like tendrils, grasping wildly at the sky. This was the Margrave: the Institute's beast.

PROJECT MARGRAVE - THE CAPITOL GUARD

In Republic Annum 114, the Armina Capitol Guard descends upon a compound deep in the snowdrifts. Within it lies a weapon of terrible power, waiting to be awakened - the fruits of the Reingardt Institute's 'Project Margrave.'

BX-888 "MONARCA"

As the most advanced model in Au Galida's aging Dragoon fleet, the Monarca is a symbol to many of the Republic's bygone glory. Now spread thin across the Duchy, these units are entrusted only to pilots who can handle their high performance.

BX-721 "DESPERADO" - another updated ref sheet for

The aging, stalwart Desperado makes up most of Au Galida's remaining Dragoon force. Though outclassed by modern units, its armored shroud and anti-Dragoon pistols keep it a fearsome presence on the battlefield.

MX-000 "MARGRAVE"

Constructed by Reingardt to test its classified next-gen reactor, the MX-000 is the culmination of Project Margrave's 20-year-long development. Its power source is still not fully understood, even by some within the Institute.

a small update for here's the new hand design for the Margrave's sub-arms. they're smaller than the main hands and only have 4 digits. the fingers splay out when firing the beam emitters in the palms - each projects a magnetic field that shapes/guides the beam.

Day 27 of - SUB-ARMS

The Margrave forgoes the physical weapons of the BX-series, instead wielding beam emitters stored within its sub-arms. When these emitters deploy, it strikes a sinewy, nightmarish appearance...

Day 10 of - final ref sheet for the BX-721 DESPERADO!

Despite being cheap to manufacture and equip, the Desperado is famous for its stubbornness in battle. It excels at mid-range combat with enemy Dragoon platforms.

Day 2 of - early Desperado concept sketches!

I started with the idea of the armored shroud, which could be removed and used as a mobile bunker. This functionality is still present on the Desperado's final version.

'DESPERADO' from my original mecha project 'Margrave.' A frontline Dragoon protected by a large armored shroud, the Desperado specializes in leading combined-arms attacks with the Confederacy's foot soldiers.
