My D&D party are in Barovia about 1000 yrs after our original playthrough of - where a number of important characters were killed, and have since been reborn, Rahadin among them. Strahd found his soul in the new body and gave him the position that was his before.

fun fact: first combat encounter with Rahadin, the party's wizard polymorphed him literally into a cat. Then Strahd punted him into a wall to break the polymorph. So for six glorious seconds, we had Catadin
