adding another one for refs I guess

I need feedback, does this look wet and see through? I know the colors are wrong but all the refs are with white fabrics so I tried to understand that first 🙈🙈

OH though there's also a cheaper option available on my VGen. I also do SKEB (Surprise c✦mms) where essentially it's just comms without revision/assisting process. You throw in refs, i draw them as i see fit! its bit less-refined and more sketchy tho

okay i think the color palette was definitely a big factor ! here’s one side with aikatsu colors and one with mermaid melody colors (i color picked from parts that i thought might translate to merm’s color theme from the refs)

shadows are also a bit bigger in the hair

@GunarmDyne She does look like she has a bit of a tan! I followed her original color scheme from various refs, but maybe it looks even more tan when she’s in bikini armor.

here are a few examples of the times i've used references in my drawings. I almost always use my own hand as reference (yes the hand pics are my own hand lol) but despite using refs the final rendition is always the product of my own knowledge & imagination
